Today is first quarter-final match between Fenerbahce and Chelsea, so i will write a little about that match! Turkish side have alredy managed to eliminate favored Sevilla in the round of 16 and now they will play against Chelsea that haven’t suffered a single defeat in the Champions league this season.
I will start with home team, with a win over Sevilla and moving on to the Champions League quarterfinals meant a lot to Fenerbahce players and it was just one of good results because they win their great rivals Besiktas. So atmosphere in the club is great, everyone wishes to win Chelsea and keep the chance and go i Champions League semi finals! Already they reach maximum because Turkish side have for the first time in history reached the quarterfinals in the Champions League.
The team will be without injured Carlos who won’t play, and Gokhan is suspended also some players like Kezman, Deivid, Moreno and Sahin have two yellow cards and they will have to take care not to miss the returning leg next week.
Chelsea is going good this season in Champions League they didn't lost match so far and they are one of favorites to win it. Currently they are in good form in last match they beat Middlesbrough with half of the potential, Chelsea players turn to the Champions League quarterfinals. They play in two fronts in Premiership they are behind MUFC 5 point and if they fall out from CL this will be big disappointment because there will be hard to catch MUFC. So they mus win at least one trophy in season!
There are no fresh injury concerns for the Blues, with Didier Drogba having shaken off a knock picked up during the weekend win over Middlesbrough and expected to start alone up front with Nicolas Anelka on the bench against his former side.Frank Lampard has trained after recovering from food poisoning and traveled with the squad to Istanbul, although goalkeeper Petr Cech (ankle) was left behind, with Carlo Cudicini continuing in his place.
TEAM FORM:POSSIBLE LINE UP: PREDICTION:Chelsea are favorites in theory but Inter, PSV, CSKA fell in Istanbul so London side tactics will definitely be the same as in Athens - closed play and guarding the net. So i don't see that in this match will be a lot of goals because Fener wont attacking a lot because they know that if they open too much there is a lot of danger from counterattacks. So i exspect game with little goals of without so i decide to play on Half Time Correct Score 0-0.
