In more positive news Avram Grant says he’s hopeful that both Ricardo Carvalho and Didier Drogba, who missed the weekend win at Manchester City, will feature in tonight’s match

Gökhan Gönül has completed his suspension but Zico will probably stick with the same XI that beat Chelsea last week. Gökçek Vederson will continue at left-back because Roberto Carlos is still not fully fit. Claudio Maldonado missed training on Monday with ‘flu-like symptoms but it is hoped he’ll be passed fit to play.
